Tour Itinerary
Drive: \(\sim 230\) km from Delhi to Haridwar (6 hours). If taking a private cab, drive straight through or stop in Haridwar for a night to acclimate.
Overnight Stay: Haridwar or Guptkashi.
Drive: Travel from Haridwar/Guptkashi to Sonprayag (base camp). Private vehicles are not allowed beyond this point.
Local Transit: Take the local shared jeep or bus to Gaurikund (\(\sim 5\) km).
Overnight Stay: Sonprayag or Gaurikund to prepare for the early morning trek.
The Trek: Begin the steep \(\sim 16\) km trek from Gaurikund to the Kedarnath Temple. Alternatively, you can hire a pony, a palki (doli), or book a helicopter service from Phata, Sersi, or Guptkashi.
Darshan: Reach the temple complex, check into your camps/lodges, and proceed for evening Darshan.
Overnight Stay: Kedarnath.
Morning Puja: Wake up early to attend the Abhishek Puja at the Kedarnath Temple.
Trek Down: Trek back down to Gaurikund, and catch the shared taxi to Sonprayag.
Drive: Continue onward to Guptkashi or Phata.
Overnight Stay: Phata or Guptkashi.
Drive: Depart Phata/Guptkashi for the return drive to Delhi via Haridwar and Rishikesh.
Arrival: Reach Delhi by late evening.
